Pharmacy Technician Learn More

Pharmacy Technician 

The course content combined with successful program completion qualifies the student to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) administered by the PTCB. The student will become a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician and be able to hold the designation of CPhT.

Certified Nursing Assistant

This program prepares the student as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Through classroom studies, lab, and clinical practice, the student will be prepared to assist the nurse in providing care for the resident/patient. 

Program Details:

  • Approximately 10-11 weeks (One Semester)
  • Separate testing fee for New York  State Certification Exam

Pre-Nursing Assistant

The program is an introduction to the Certified Nursing Assistant program. The instruction will include a basic nursing assistant core program along with communications and documentation skills, computer literacy, workplace math and language and professional development.


Program Details:

  • Approximately 13 weeks (One Semester)
  • Pre-CNA student will earn American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Certificate
  • Eligibility to advancement into Nursing Assistant Accelerated Program
  • Each Student must maintain a passing grade of 75%, and 85% on the final exam.
  • Students who complete the Advance Nursing Assistant Accelerated Summer Program will be eligible to take the NYS Certified Nursing Assistant Exam.

Physical Therapy Aide

Physical Therapy Aide

Rehabilitation Aides will typically perform work delegated by licensed physical and occupational therapists in accordance with state rules and regulations.


Program Details:

  • Assist in treatment in hospitals, rehabs, and outpatient offices
  • Supervise patient exercises and modalities
  • Be more involved in the home care setting
  • Learn office management techniques
  • Time: 8 weeks

Security Guard

Security Guard plus CPR/AID Certification

This program provides students with instruction leading to the NYS requirements for a Security Guard License.

Program Details:

  • Security guards protect property against theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity.
  • Security guards work in a wide variety of places, including public buildings, retail stores, and office buildings.
  • Requirements: No high school diploma requirement.
  • Entrance exam TABE
  • Time: 7 days!!

Emergency Medical Technician 

This program leads to State Certification as an EMT-B. All students must have a valid NYS Driver License. Students are trained to provide care in life threatening or potentially life threatening conditions and to prevent further harm before a patient is moved. Students complete a rigorous course including didactic and practical instruction as required by New York State.

Virtual Assistant Entrepreneur

A great opportunity for entrepreneur-minded individuals who wish to have a home-based business offering administrative support to outside companies, businesses, and other entrepreneurs. Classes will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to build their own businesses as "Virtual Assistants" and to market themselves to potential clients.

One of the easiest ways to work from home is by doing virtual assistant (VA) work. Virtual assistants are skilled, home-based professionals that offer companies, businesses, and entrepreneurs administrative support. When you set up your own business, you have more flexibility with scheduling, choosing clients, and setting your rates, but you'll also have to find your own clients, and setup your own business. These workshops will guide you through this process.

Pre-requisites: Administrative Assistant, Visual Technology (VizTech) or ATTAIN Microsoft Suite.

The goal of this program is to assist students who have a specific interest in Visual Technology - VizTech. We offer Computer Graphic Design, Introduction to Adobe Photoshop, Introduction to Web Page Design, Introduction to Digital Photography and Basic Drawing Techniques. Courses include:

Adobe Photoshop Digital Photopgraphy

This course shows you how to use Photoshop to perform many different image processing techniques. In this course, you will learn how to use several tools for selecting parts of images, and will move, duplicate and resize images. You will learn to use layers, layer effects, filters, painting and blending, and color modification. Also, you will learn how to create images of different formats for different applications.

Students will learn basic camera techniques and how to convert their images to digital ones. This course will provide the student with basic aesthetic principles as well as an extensive range of practical photographic techniques needed for entry into the photographic workplace and/or for artistic expression.

Graphic Design Basic Drawing Techniques

This course is an introduction to visual principles as the basis of graphic design communication, elements and issues of visual language. It covers the manipulation of graphic form to convey meaning, strategies for idea generation and development of unique concepts, and the designer's role as visual storyteller.

The goal of this program is to focus on building fundamental drawing skills. Students will learn basic techniques such as shading, controlling tones, composition and drawing methods, using pencil and paper.
